The Middle School Program
The middle school curriculum incorporates, yet transcends traditional school subjects. Our underlying premise is that adolescence is a distinct phase of development through which children pass at varying rates and throughout which they need to be both supported and challenged. The curriculum calls for maintaining exciting and dynamic classes that challenge students to perform at high levels of academic standards. Simultaneously, students need to learn the skills and body of knowledge that will allow them to progress on to the next grade
Typically, a student will take five core courses each year. Students will be kept with their age group for the majority of the day; however, middle school students will take the majority of their electives with high school students. |
